With service for 12, each piece exudes a sense of weightiness and quality. The forks and knives are notably large, adding to the set’s substantial feel. The design is undeniably appealing, with a hidden detail: a portion of the pattern adorns the reverse side of the spoon bowls and forks, imparting an extra touch of elegance. An interesting feature is the two flares on the sides of the necks of the spoons and forks, although they display slight variations in symmetry. Despite this minor inconsistency—which didn’t bother me—it doesn’t detract from the overall charm of the set. I encountered a small flaw on one teaspoon, a tiny nick with a sharp metal spur on its rim, but thankfully, a metal nail file easily fixed it, ensuring no risk of scratches or cuts to anyone using it. Another minor issue was some slight tarnishing on the backs of the display pieces due to contact with the packaging material. This is somewhat inevitable and hardly noticeable. Overall, I’m delighted with this set and feel fully prepared to host a grand banquet!

My kitchen is styled in French Country decor, adorned with soft yellows, blues, and complementary table linens. This set, with its intricate detailing, perfectly complements the ambiance. While it exudes a timeless charm reminiscent of a cherished family heirloom, it also adds a touch of old-school cool to the table setting. I find this set suitable for both everyday use and informal gatherings at home. It seamlessly blends with my blue floral French country plates and European-style taupe dishes, creating a cohesive and sophisticated look. The set exudes a sense of timeless elegance and superior quality without veering into the realm of tackiness. For those who appreciate thoughtful design choices, these pieces effortlessly elevate the dining experience without appearing ostentatious. However, if design isn’t a priority, opting for a simpler set may be more suitable to avoid a mismatched aesthetic. Contrary to popular belief, the forks in this set are not disproportionately large— a misconception that seems to have been exaggerated. The quality of the set is undeniable, and I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase!

Transitioning to the dinner fork, it shines in accompanying a small steak or a juicy, thick cut with precision, complemented by the knife’s satisfying weight. This set is a true indulgence that elevates your dining experience beyond the ordinary. Crafted with precision and lasting quality, it promises to withstand the test of time. It’s a breath of fresh air from the generic sets available, offering craftsmanship at its finest and made with meticulous attention to detail in silver at a premium cost. Though the 18/10 stainless steel version in a 65-piece set offers great value, as it may soon join the ranks of discontinued patterns, I couldn’t resist snagging sets for myself and my sister-in-law.
While undeniably stunning, this set poses a challenge when it comes to dishwasher placement due to the bulkiness of the flatware sections at the base or handle. Arranging them in the dishwasher requires some finesse, especially with the knives, to ensure they are adequately cleaned. Despite the minor inconvenience, the set’s beauty outweighs the hassle, and even though my husband took on most of the washing duties, we couldn’t bear the thought of returning these exquisite pieces. Pure happiness all around!
